Silicon Carbide

Silicon Carbide, chemical abbreviation SiC, is composed of very irregular vitreous crystals with very sharp edges. This composition gives it a relative ability to penetrate and cut quickly under a certain pressure higher than any other material. The cut of silicon carbide is greater than aluminum oxide, but has a shorter duration over time. This is due to the fragility of the mineral, which shatters easily, reducing the section of the granule and decreasing the mark; for this reason a silicon carbide satin finish on a metal surface is semi-gloss.

This article is produced wiht a base of silicon carbide in grit 80, particularly indicated for the roughing of wooden parts, polishing of ceramic and plastic parts, can be converted in flap wheels and ventilated wheels.
SM BLACK 120 150 30 o 40 1,85 X 6.6 SiC
Non-Woven produced in silicium carbide, it is converted in pads, discs and flap wheels; it is used mostly in the metal or in the ceramic field, to silk stainless steel (semi-gloss silking) or for the degreasing of the ceramic.

Article studied with a coating of the fiber with electrostatic open coat of mineral. This allows an higher cutting power and at the same time flexibility. Particularly indicated for all types of soft metals and in particular converted in flap wheel. It treats the surface with the same grade of finishing from begin to end of the tool.

Article in silicon carbide, specially designed for cut discs or ventilated discs. The mono-fiber structure allows to have an high flexibility of the product and an homogenous consume. Indicated for the treatment of soft metals or funerary art.
SF C20 BLACK 150 150 40 1,2 X 6.6 SiC
Non-Woven produced in grit 150 of silicium carbide, it shows itself covered in pure abrasive, non melted in the resin. It is converted in flap wheels and cylinders. It is used in the metal field, but also on the wood in case a medium aggressivity is required.

Article produced in silicon carbide on a prebond very rigid and compact. Ideal for the convertion in shaft wheel of small dimensions and ventilated wheel, keeping the structure very compact it increases the life and a fine finishing grade.

Non-Woven produced in grit 180 silicium carbide. It is converted in flap wheels and cylinders. It finds its application on the metal but also on the wood. It is used when medium aggressivity is required.
SVF BLACK 280/240 150 40 0,9 X 6.6 SiC
Non-Woven produced in 280 silicium carbide grain. Converted in pads, it is suitable for the manual finishing almost aggressive on the paintings. Converted in discs, it is specific for the cleaning of the metals with fine semi-gloss characteristic; in flap wheels, it is used on metal for silking and cleaning on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, zamak. In the wood field it is used for the smoothing of painting or ancient patina on base of solvents. It is also used for the sinking of ski and ceramics.

Non-Woven produced in grit 400 silicium carbide, made with an hakfway grit, but sufficiently fine. It finds its own application in the same fields of SUF 600 and SUF1000.

It has the same features of SSF article, but it is more suitable for manual productions.

These Non-Wovens are made with 600 and 1000 silicium carbide grits. They are used to be converted in pads of different sizes to finish the painting. Converted in flap wheels they are used on profiles and frames in finishing phase or to remove with various effects patina for ancient. They are also converted in balanced cylinders that have to be mounted the polishers for plan panels. These kinds of tissues has a vaste application also in the body shop sector.
S MICRO GREY 1200 150 40 0,4 X 6.6 SiC
This Non-Woven is produced in silicium carbide grit 1200 and it finds its application in pads of various sizes in the body shop's sector to dim the surface before final painting. For its light structure it is not suitable to be converted in flap wheels or cylinders.

SUF 2000/65 GREY 2000 150 40 0,4 X 6.6 SiC
It is a product studied for an excellent finishing, or rather it is used to have a very shiny surface on metal or mat surface on the bodywork in preparation for painting. In the wood sector it is used to prepare the surface before the painting, making the base uniform.
